Intentional Disrespect of the Sacrament of Holy Orders: Roman Catholic Women Priests Sect Says Two Women Ordained in Archdiocese of Portland

They’re Back…

On August 23rd, 2007, Archbishop John Vlazny of the Archdiocese of Portland, Oregon, responded within the Catholic Sentinel to a news story found in the Oregonian reporting that a Catholic woman, Toni Tortorilla, was ordained the first Roman Catholic woman priest within the state of Oregon. In his statement, Archbishop Vlazny assured Catholics within his diocese that “there was no ordination of a Roman Catholic priest at Zion United Church of Christ in Gresham on July 28” , nearly one month earlier.

Well, there was another non-ordination of a Roman Catholic priest (reportedly) at the same Zion United Church of Christ in Gresham, Oregon, on June 7th, 2008. Ten days ago…

Same sect member Bridget Mary confirmed the illicit protestant ceremony on her blog in which Ruth Boeski joined her partner Toni Tortorilla as now excommunicated former Catholics. The same couple also made news following their same sex marriage in 2004 as recorded here by the Oregon Historical Society–which explains the rainbow stoles worn above.

Participants in this year’s phoney ordination, according to Bridget Mary, included: Ruth Broeski in the middle standing next to first U.S. bishop, Dana Reynolds and Sandra DeMaster in deacon stole. Also in picture are priests: on far right Suzanne Thiel and Toni Tortorilla. on far left next to Deacon Sandra DeMaster is Juanita Cordero.

Intentional Disrespect of the Sacrament of Holy Orders

Archbishop Vlazny went on further within his 2007 statement within the Catholic Sentinel, saying, “Even though Catholics were involved, the claim that it was a Catholic ceremony is wrong but, hopefully, not intentionally disrespectful of a sacrament which we Catholics regard as a precious treasure, one for which we are called to exercise reverent and faithful stewardship.”

Well, this time there is no mistaking that the ceremony was intentionally disrespectful of the Sacrament of Holy Orders and the will of Christ which we Catholics “do” regard as a precious treasure. But more so, still, in the fact that this latest folly was intentionally disrepectful toward our own Archbishop, whom on the same day was consecrating “authentic priests” at St. Mary’s Cathedral in Portland.

The Bottom Line

Selfishness, envy, power, pride, secrecy, disobedience to legitimate authority and serious personal sin that threatens one’s own eternal salvation are all clear signs of the obscure leader of this sect–the Father of lies… Although, I doubt that these would “recognize him” as such.

Beware little children. Beware.

  1. Hi Michael, Good Morning!

    Simply put, According to:

The group “RC Womenpriests” receives its authority from Roman Catholic bishops who stand in full Apostolic Succession. These bishops bestowed sacramentally valid ordinations on the women listed above. All the documents pertaining to these ordinations have been attested and notarized. All minutes of the ordinations, including data about persons, Apostolic Succession, and rituals, together with films and photos are deposited with a Notary Public.

Considering that the ordaining bishop(s) have yet to be revealed, nobody actually knows for certain if there was indeed any ordination, do we? And for the sake of argument, say there wasn’t. This means that baptized Christians are following a false church, and thus, false Christ.

Now let’s say these women were actually ordained by rogue bishop(s). Here’s the reality for both, (with the same result):

Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith
    General Decree

Regarding the offense of attempted holy ordination of a woman
The Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith, in order to safeguard the nature and validity of the sacrament of holy orders, and in virtue of the special faculty conferred upon the congregation by the supreme authority of the church (see canon 30, Code of Canon Law), in the Ordinary Session of December 19, 2007, has decreed:

In keeping with the disposition of canon 1378 of the Code of Canon Law, both the person who attempts to confer holy orders upon a woman, and the woman who attempts to receive holy orders, incur the excommunication latae sententiae, reserved to the Apostolic See.

If the one who attempts to confer holy orders upon a woman or the woman who attempts to receive holy orders is subject to the Code of the Canons of the Eastern Churches, in keeping with canon 1443 of that code, that person will be punished with major excommunication, the remission of which is reserved to the Apostolic See (see canon 1423, Code of the Canons of the Eastern Churches).

The present decree takes effect immediately from the moment of its publication inn L’Osservatore Romano.

Really, after 2000 plus years, is it not offensive to the Holy Spirit to believe that He could not have “righted the wrong” on women priests if the “institutional Church” was in error?

The reality, of course, is that the Holy Spirit continues to keep the institutional Church in the truth on matters of faith and morals. And fidelity born of humble obedience to the teaching magisterium is required to remain fully in that truth–Jesus Christ.

Here’s a contemplation on the chosen, and the mystery of iniquity that would seek to undermine:

Then Jesus said to the twelve: Will you also go away? And Simon Peter answered him: Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we have believed and have known, that thou art the Christ, the Son of God. Jesus answered them: Have not I chosen you twelve; and one of you is a devil? Now he meant Judas Iscariot, the son of Simon: for this same was about to betray him, whereas he was one of the twelve.”

Sadly, the mystery continues down into our day Michael…

We could talk Canon Law all day long, but Peter has spoken for the sake of the Church and the mission entrusted to her:

    the salvation of souls.

This is what’s most important, not passing worldly ideologies of certain times.

Peace to you Michael, and have the best day possible.

  2. Isn’t is curious that the vast majority of these supposed “priests”, women, are proponents for homosexuality? Homosexuality is not only against the Doctrine of the Church, but considered intrinsically depraved by God, His Son and His Blessed Mother. This “womanpriest” who died was a lesbian which is against Catholic Doctrine. So anyone who thinks they can make a mockery out of the Tradition of the Roman Catholic Church is setting him/herself up for damnation. These ordinations are a joke. They are a farce and an insult to true Catholicism. Truthfully, these women are bra-burners who decided they should be able to do what men in this case are permitted to do, and it is my opinion that this is all a direct result of the horrible reality of the second Vatican Council. You women should be ashamed of yourselves. Repent, throw away your gay, rainbow sashes and realize that no fake cassock will actually make you a priest. The Blessed Mother, Our Lady was not a priest. She was the mother of God and She remained humbly in His shadow as His support, never once demanding the attention or glory that He deserved for what He did. We as women should learn from Her humility and certainly not pretend that we can change grapejuice into His precious Blood. It’s impossible, it’s schismatic, and damning. You women won’t even have a CHANCE at the blessing of Purgatory and then Heaven. You will go straight to Hell. If you truly believe in the teachings of the Catholic Church then you wouldn’t challenge Catholic Doctrine or Dogma, and you would learn your place in the Church. I am a woman and proudly, a Traditional Catholic and I know my place and love it. The Church respects me as a woman. Men open the door for me, and offer me their seat when the Church is full. They respect my beliefs and my faith and we respect each other. As a Catholic, I condemn homosexuality. It is a disgusting perversion of how God intended us to be. To knowingly engage in it as well as the farce of your “ordinations” is a mortal, grave sin and you should go to a real preiest, a man, and confess before it is too late.

  3. Respect is the key word here Janet, in so many ways…

Pray for these, because the consequences you state are real and eternal… The most frightening aspect of this sect is how the spirit of disobedience has persuaded these women to so easily shrug off excommunicating themselves… I don’t think they know the danger.
