I have great respect and admiration for people like Louise Akers who refuse to go against their consciences. The best way to deal with the voices calling for opening up the Catholic priesthood, to a wider circle is to allow dialogue, discussion, good prayer and reflection. Mary, the Mother of Jesus might be a great teacher of how to understand what serving her Son is all about. I seriously wonder what Jesus would say to those who feel called to the priesthood but are not thought to be qualified to be part of the caste. May God open our hearts---and may the Holy Spirit, who is ever refreshing, and ever surprising continue to remind us not to take ourselves too seriously as the late icon, Cardinal Basil Hume, archbishop of Westminster used to correctly, and wisely advise. New life might then flow in, and the Kingdom of God ---not our little kingdoms--- might grow so much so that lots of birds might find a branch on which to perch. Because of this many times I am not able to concentrate on my work, also pray that I can lead a good prayer life, have faith in God and have a good spiritual life. Pray for my husband so that he gets a good job which he is longing for and we are financially sounds so that we can bring up my kids. My sister, Delna is suffering from depression and is under medication for the same. She lost her husband at quiet a young age and she is very insecure, right now she and her son stay with my brother. Pray that her son, Cyril gets a good job and he change his ways and understands his responsibilities and look after his mother. My brother, Sunny is suffering from allergy problem from past so may years, pray that he gets cured from the same and lead a peaceful life. My mummy, Lucy is suffering from heart problem and age related sickness, pray that she gets cured from the sickness(Arthritis). Pray that my kids, Anstel and Angelline grow as good children with all the gifts of Holy Spirit and do their studies properly. Pray for my daughter so that she gets cured from her eye problem and gets clear vision and remove the spectacles which she started putting from the age of three.
