This is Bishop Donoghue not Bishop Gracida. Also where did this article come from, you didn’t provide a source.
Thanks for correcting the record.
Mike – the article comes from Fr. Corapi’s website.

I totally agree with the Bishop Emeritus of Corpus Christi, Rene Gracida, as to his comments regarding injustice suffered by accused priests from bishops and religious superiors! Additionally, I stand by Father Corapi, one hundred per cent, and I know many others who support him too! If the person, who unjustly accused Father Corapi, is Catholic, I believe she should/b excommunicated from the Catholic Church! Jesus was unjustly accused too, as is Father Corapi, and as was St Joan of Arc and many others! God bless Father Corapi and his ministry! Our Cathlic Church needs him, as well as the entire world! Let us all support Father Corapi and Bishop Emeritus Rene Gracida, during this terrible time, which the devil totally enjoys!
I would like to comment once again. I have emailed everyone I can with how much this decision has hurt. Listening to Father Corapi, at least 5 years now, even saw him in Appleton last summer, has done an unmeasureable amount of good in my life. It has gotten me to pray the rosery for the first time in over 30 years…has gotten me to think about going back to confession, go back to the church, have been away over 30 years…has gotten me to pray everyday …has gotten me to fast (which I never did before)…believe in heaven and hell…I could literally go on and on. Another soul saved…..this decision to shut him down has gotten me to question the whole thing…..how could we turn on a brother in Christ if we are to be like Jesus? Having a real difficult time understanding this..LOVE Father Corapi for what he has given me, I am angry it has been taken away. God Bless him. Jackie
Jackie, Read about Padre Pio, and don’t be discouraged. Should we learn differently than we hope, even then, don’t be discouraged. Fr was speaking Truth, and you responded to that Truth. Hold fast, no matter what happens, to that Truth. HE is the One to follow. Fr Corapi introduced you to Him, and to His Mother. (I also saw Fr Corapi in the Fox Valley a few years ago, at St Pius)
Hold fast. God bless!
Father Corapi is only the most inspired and effective
preacher of the century! I am 82 and have dozed
through thousands of totally meningless and
forgettable “homilies”. Father Corapi preaches
with fire in the belly and the grace of God in his
soul. He is unafraid to state the truth, unlike the
politically correct mealy-mouths who dominate
the post-conciliar church. This includes many of
our cowardly bishops who should have known
than fall for Obama’s health-care shell-game.
