“…found lying on a towel atop the hood of the car following a nor’easter”
Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office: A newborn baby boy was found left on top of a parked car in the freezing cold this afternoon in Edison.
By James Queally/The Star-Ledger February 26, 2010, 9:31PM
EDISON, NEW JERSEY – A naked baby boy was found lying on the hood of a parked car in Edison this afternoon, seemingly left lying there as the state thawed from a powerful nor’easter, authorities said.
A visitor to an Edison nursing home, CareOne at Highlands located on Inman Ave., found the infant, who authorities believe is a newborn, lying on a towel atop the hood of the car shortly before 2 p.m., said Middlesex County Prosecutor Bruce Kaplan.
The child remains in good condition at John F. Kennedy Medical Center in Edison, according to Kaplan, and will be placed in the custody of the state Division of Youth and Family Services while police try to track down relatives.
The baby weights seven pounds, eight ounces, and is 21 inches long, said Kaplan.
Anyone with information about the baby is asked to call Detective Al Sciarrillo of the Edison Police Department at (732) 248-7561, or Investigator Daniel Ruschak of the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office at (732) 745-3600.

“…either they never read the Gospel or they don’t believe it! ” Father Gabriele Amorth
I discovered this troubling report on the excellent pro-life blog BIG BLUE WAVE:
Here is a review of Paolo Rodari on his blog:
When an exorcist discovers he has much to do at Vatican
February 25, 2010
http://www.paolorodari.com/ …
——————–
- There are Satanists in the Vatican?
“Yes, even in the Vatican there are members of satanic cults.”
- Who is involved? Is it simple priests or laity?
“There are priests, bishops and even cardinals.”
- Forgive me, Father Gabriel, but how do you know?
“I know people who have been observing it, because they had the opportunity to observe it directly. And this is something that has been ‘confessed’ several times by the devil Even under obedience in the exorcisms.
- The Pope is informed of this?
“Of course, he was informed” But he does what he can. It is something terrifying. Keep in mind also that Benedict XVI is a German pope, he comes from a nation resolutely closed to these things. In Germany, in fact, there are almost no exorcists, and yet the Pope believes [in them]: I had the opportunity to speak with him three times before, when He was prefect of the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith. He believes, and how! And he spoke explicitly in public several times [about this]. He welcomed our association of exorcists (in October 2005, BEM); [at the time] he also delivered a fine speech, encouraging us and praising our apostolate. And let us not forget that the devil and exorcism, John Paul II also spoke a lot about it. “
- While it’s true what Paul VI said that the smoke of Satan entered the Church?
“It’s true, unfortunately, because in the Church as there are followers of satanic cults. The details of the” smoke of Satan “, Paul VI spoke June 29, 1972. Then, as this sentence created a huge scandal, November 15, 1972, he devoted an entire speech to the devil, on Wednesday, with some very strong words. Of course, it broke the ice, lifting a veil of silence and censorship that has lasted too long but it had no practical consequences. It took someone like me– who was a nobody– to spread the alarm in order to get results.
Father Gabriele Amorth is now one of the most renown international exorcists. He exercises his ministry in the city of Rome. In his memoirs, collected by Marco Tosatti in “Father Amorth. Memoirs of an exorcist. My life in the fight against Satan” (Piemme) the complaint that he wants the Church to hear above all is [about]the church and its bishops:
“We have many priests and many bishops who, unfortunately, do not believe in Satan,” he said. And again: “There are whole countries that have no exorcists: Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal … Many bishops do not believe in the devil, and even manage to say in public that Hell does not exist, the devil does not exist. And yet, in the Gospel, Jesus speaks extensively about, so we would almost say, either they never read the Gospel or they don’ believe it! “.

" …unending via Crucis”
Mosul (AsiaNews) – Mosul is experiencing a veritable "humanitarian emergency" in just one day, yesterday, "hundreds of Christian families" left the city in search of shelter, leaving behind their homes, property, commercial activities: the situation "is dramatic". Bishop Emil Shimoun Nona, Chaldean archbishop of Mosul, confirmed to AsiaNews about the exodus of the faithful from the city. Meanwhile, Mgr. Louis Sako, archbishop of Kirkuk, will launch "a demonstration and a fast", to sensitize the international community to the "massacre of Iraqi Christians" and stop the violence in the country.
The archbishop of Mosul is concerned about the many families, "hundreds" in one day yesterday, leaving the city. Bishop Nona speaks of an " unending via Crucis” and denounces the "change in methods" operated by the armed gangs. "In the past we said to the Christians to remain closed in the house – he remembers – but now they are even attacked in their own homes”. The reference is to the murder took place last February 23: commandos entered the house of Aishwa Marosi, a Christian of 59, killing the man and two boys. His wife and daughter witnessed the murder but were spared by the criminals.
Bishop Nona confirms the risk that "Mosul will be emptied completely of Christians”, who are fleeing towards the plain of Nineveh and other places considered safer. "Yesterday I visited some families – he continues – I have tried to bring comfort, but the situation is dramatic. The people fled without taking anything with them”. This is why the local archdiocese has launched an initial emergency response, trying to provide "essential supplies and relief", but the danger of "a humanitarian crisis is real."

A sheep gave birth to a dead lamb with a human-like face. The calf was born in a village not far from the city of Izmir, Turkey.
By Pravda.Ru writer Dmitry SudakovErhan Elibol, a vet, performed Cesarean section on the animal to take the calf out, but was horrified to see that the features of the calf’s snout bore a striking resemblance to a human face.
“I’ve seen mutations with cows and sheep before. I’ve seen a one-eyed calf, a two-headed calf, a five-legged calf. But when I saw this youngster I could not believe my eyes. His mother could not deliver him so I had to help the animal,” the 29-year-old veterinary said.
The lamb’s head had human features on – the eyes, the nose and the mouth – only the ears were those of a sheep.
Veterinaries said that the rare mutation most likely occurred as a result of improper nutrition since the fodder for the lamb’s mother was abundant with vitamin A, CNNTurk.com reports.
In Zimbabwe, a goat gave birth to a similar youngster in September 2009. The mutant baby born with a human-like head stayed alive for several hours until the frightened village residents killed him.
The governor of the province where the ugly goat was born said that the little goat was the fruit of unnatural relationship between the female goat and a man.
“This incident is very shocking. It is my first time to see such an evil thing. It is really embarrassing,” he reportedly said. “The head belongs to a man while the body is that of a goat. This is evident that an adult human being was responsible. Evil powers caused this person to lose self control. We often hear cases of human beings who commit bestiality but this is the first time for such an act to produce a product with human features,” he added.
The mutant creature was hairless. Local residents said that even dogs were afraid to approach the bizarre animal.
The locals burnt the body of the little goat, and biologists had no chance to study the rare mutation.

Caring for orphans, ransoming hostages, burying the dead—it’s all in a day’s work for Father Rick Frechette.
EDITOR NOTE: A quick Google reveals on Laus Crucis that Father Rick Frechette is a Passionist priest who is also a medical doctor and who has worked as a pediatrician in Haiti for many years. He had been at home in the United States as his mother is dying, but returned to Haiti on hearing of the earthquake…
An excerpt from ‘Love Among the Ruins’ by Matt Labash:
One afternoon, he says, he was going to visit some nuns. On his way there, he saw a teenaged boy burning in the street. A group of thugs had set him on fire. He was already dead, and Frechette could do nothing for him, but he drove ahead and asked the nuns for five buckets of water. He went back to the scene, hauling eight of the sisters with him. They got out of the truck, took the buckets, and extinguished the flames consuming the boy’s body.
“I can still hear it. I can still smell it,” Frechette says. “The sizzle like frying steak.”
“Then we put him in the back of the truck, and do what we always do. Have a prayer right there. To make a counter-witness by our own behavior. The gang that set him on fire stood there and watched as we did these things.” His missions’ role, whether through doctoring or teaching, bringing food or burying the dead, Frechette has written, is to help “repair the damage done … to make grace present, concretely, in our world.”
Later, the mother superior called Frechette telling him a trembling, crying woman came to the sisters and asked for her. When she came outside, the woman fell to her knees and kissed her hands. The mother superior didn’t understand. It was the mother of the boy who’d been burned. Someone had run to tell her, “They’re killing your son and setting him on fire.” She raced out of her shack, and when she was within view of her son, was so horrified, that her legs froze. She couldn’t move them, neither to run toward him, nor to run away. “She was frozen in hell,” Frechette puts it.
She told the mother superior that she saw a truck go by, and then slow down, and then keep going. Then she saw it come back. And the people in it got out, and “put out my son like I was wishing I could put out the fire on my son’s body.” Then they picked him up until he was clean. Then they prayed for him. “Everything she tried to do was done in front of her, by absolute strangers who didn’t know her or her kid.”
Of all the emotions the woman was entitled to, he wouldn’t guess gratitude would be high on the list. And yet there she was. “It made her able to live with it,” Frechette thinks. “It’s like God sent someone to help her, like it restored her faith in humanity again … I call it the countersign. The terrible thing that’s in front of you, you hurry, and offset it right away. Before what happens is too taxing and too poisonous … Sometimes with horrible things, you really feel there is nothing you can do. Nothing. You’re just useless. But over time, you start seeing that to do the right thing no matter what has tremendous power.”

“I am the way, the truth, and the life…” Jesus Christ
Warning to Catholics
1. See – The facts
A world tour of Buddhist propaganda has now come to Peru. The news would have no greater significance if it were not, as was widely reported, the fact that the “tour” will include a visit to Cusco from February 26 to 28, during which relics of Buddha and some of his main followers will be exhibited in a certainly unexpected place: the Convent of Santo Domingo!
Although Buddhism is not presented as a religion but rather as a philosophy and spirituality, in fact it has a strong religious content, being a branch of pantheistic Gnosticism, which is the doctrine most opposed to the Gospel because it denies the very concept of one single, personal and absolute God. This denial makes Buddhism, in its essence, an anti-Christian belief.
Furthermore, Buddhist currents such as Lamaism from Tibet – where many of the said relics come from — worship a series of “protector devils” to whom even human sacrifices are rendered, including the practice of cannibalism.[1]
2. Judge – The Analysis
How, then, can Catholic premises be made available to promote this belief opposed to the true Faith? This is puzzling, especially considering that, as the Scriptures teach, “all the gods of the Gentiles [pagans] are devils” (Ps. 95:5); therefore, St. Paul says, “But the things which the heathens sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God. And I would not that you should be made partakers with devils. You cannot drink the chalice of the Lord, and the chalice of devils: you cannot be partakers of the table of the Lord, and of the table of devils” (I Cor. 10:20-21).
Considering the definitive statement of our Lord Jesus Christ: “He who is not with me is against me” (Luke, 11, 23), we have gone from bewilderment to confusion. Do the authorities of the Convent of Santo Domingo not realize the tremendous religious turmoil into which they cast the faithful by turning the historic Cuzco church into a propaganda vehicle for a false belief? This is all the more so since it will not be a simple display of the said relics, but they will practice Buddhist rituals such as “blessings” with supposed healing effects to attract the unwary, and others. Do the authorities of the convent not fear that these cults, as Saint Paul says, desecrate the convent by “sacrificing to demons and not to God”?
How all this recalls the famous pronouncements by H.H. Pope Paul VI, taken up by his successors John Paul II and Benedict XVI, about the mysterious process of “self-destruction” that affected the Church after Vatican II, making the “smoke of Satan enter the temple of God!” [2]
3. Act – The Duty of Catholics
St. Dominic founded the Order of Preachers to spread the only Truth and refute the errors against it, never to compromise with them! His first major victory was the extinction of the Albigensian heresy, which arose precisely from Eastern Gnosticism, of which Buddhism is a branch. Faced with such a bafflingly serious deviation from its mission, as seen above, the Catholic faithful cannot stand idly by. We must manifest, respectfully but firmly, our disagreement and rejection of that disgraceful display.
Through the sacrament of Confirmation we become “soldiers of Christ,” that is, the Holy Spirit gives us the gift of fortitude to bear witness and defend the Faith. And God will ask us accounts for the good or bad use we make of that precious gift. This is a great opportunity to show that we have not received it in vain.
Let’s let us respectfully make our protest heard. Join it right now by sending a message to the authorities of the Convent of Santo Domingo, the Prior of the Dominican Fathers, and the diocesan authority, asking them to take measures to stop this desecration and make sure that it never happens again.
If you prefer, you can copy the text suggested below:
4. THE PROTEST (copy and send to the addresses indicated)
Deeply shocked, I deplore the offense done to my Catholic faith by converting the convent of Santo Domingo into a propaganda venue for pagan beliefs diametrically opposed to the Faith in Jesus Christ. I believe that such an exhibition is a very serious and unacceptable desecration and therefore request that it be canceled and never a Catholic campus in our city be used again for such events.
Sincerely,
(name and ID number)

Undoubtedly, the religious confusion is the most serious aspect of the terrible current crisis.
May Our Lady of the Rosary, Queen and Patron of Peru, preserve the noble Peruvian nation from this confusion. May She grant all Catholics the wisdom and determination to overcome it.

Whose ‘Dove of Peace’?
By STEVE LINDE 26/02/2010 03:19
Is a Jerusalem dentist’s prized painting a Picasso or the work of a troubled Israeli artist?
In his Jerusalem dental clinic, Dr. Michel Rote has a beautiful, simple-line, Picasso-esque Dove of Peace sketch that faces his patients. It is signed by Pablo Picasso. And when Rote bought it in Paris, he was assured it was a Picasso. But he has long been wondering whether it is really the work of little-known Israeli artist Shalom Reiser.
Rote brought the picture with him when he made aliya in 1983.
